SIFC’s Active Facilitation: US Investors Announce Large-Scale Investment in Pakistan
Karachi (Web Desk) — Significant progress has been reported in promoting foreign investment as a result of the effective support and facilitation provided by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
A high-level delegation comprising prominent US investors and Pakistani-origin business leaders conducted detailed visits to various development and industrial projects in Sindh to assess wide-ranging investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Meeting with Sindh Chief Minister and Key Infrastructure Projects
The US delegation held an important meeting with the Chief Minister of Sindh. Detailed discussions focused on the province’s priority sectors, public-private partnerships, and the facilities being offered to foreign investors.

Bin Qasim Industrial Park: The delegation received a detailed briefing on industrial development and opportunities for joint ventures.
Coastal and Biotechnology Projects: Discussions were held on the proposed Keti Bandar Port, Karachi Tech Park, and the establishment of an International Financial Centre.
Maritime and Logistics Sectors: The Karachi Port Trust outlined investment opportunities in port modernisation, fisheries, seafood processing, shipyards, and related industries.
Technology Sectors and Future Opportunities
The US delegation also met the Governor of Sindh, where discussions highlighted Pakistan’s emerging economic landscape and advanced technology sectors.
The delegation expressed strong interest in the following technology and energy sectors:
