Security Forces Kill Wanted TTP Commander in North Waziristan Operation

*NORTH WAZIRISTAN:* Security forces achieved a major success during an intelligence-based operation in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, killing a highly wanted militant commander along with four other terrorists, security sources said.

According to security officials, the operation targeted militant commander Umar alias Jan Mir alias Saqib Tor, who was reportedly a key leader of Fitna al-Khwarij. A bounty of Rs3 million had been placed on his head.

Sources said the slain militant commander was involved in planning multiple terrorist attacks against security forces and civilians in the region.

Security officials revealed that Umar alias Saqib Tor had established underground bunkers, tunnels, and explosive traps around the Bobali Mosque area in Spinwam.

The terrorists were eliminated after security forces launched a coordinated operation and surrounded their hideouts, the sources added.

Security analysts described the killing of the militant commander as a major setback for Fitna al-Khwarij and said the operation would help improve peace and stability in the area.

Experts further stated that counterterrorism operations under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam against Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were continuing successfully across the country.
