Security Forces Foil Major Terrorist Plot in Gwadar

Quetta (Special Report): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has paid rich tribute to security forces for their professionalism, vigilance and bravery in foiling a terrorist plot in Gwadar and killing seven terrorists.

In his statement, the chief minister said security forces had thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs through timely and effective action, adding that the entire nation was proud of its brave personnel. He said the sacrifices made by security forces in the fight against terrorism were a proud chapter in the country’s history.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti made it clear that terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan would never succeed in undermining peace, stability and economic development in the province. He said all attempts to intimidate the public by targeting development projects in Balochistan would be thwarted at all costs, and no compromise would be made on the province’s bright future.

He reaffirmed that the Balochistan government remained fully committed to protecting the lives and property of the people. Operations against terrorists and their facilitators would continue without discrimination to establish lasting peace in the province, he said, adding that the public would stand shoulder to shoulder with security forces to defeat those working against peace.
