Second Major Terrorist Attempt Foiled in Killi Sarawan; Three Militants Killed

Kharan (Web Desk): Security forces successfully foiled another major terrorist attempt in the Killi Sarawan area of Kharan. Following a timely and professionally conducted operation by the Frontier Corps Balochistan (South), three suspected militants were killed during an intense exchange of fire.

According to security sources, Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) had received intelligence indicating that three to four armed motorcycle-riding militants were attempting to re-enter Killi Sarawan. The sources stated that their alleged objective was to disrupt law and order and carry out large-scale acts of sabotage in the area.

Operation Details and Recovered Weapons

Acting on the intelligence, Frontier Corps personnel cordoned off the area and established checkpoints at various locations. During the operation, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and the suspected militants, resulting in the deaths of three of them.

The following weapons and explosive materials were reportedly recovered from the deceased suspects:

  • 6 RPG rounds
  • 2 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), including 2 batteries and 300 meters of wire
  • 2 motorcycles

Second Major Attack Foiled Within 24 Hours

Security officials also stated that a day earlier, security forces had thwarted another alleged attack in the same area, which they said involved a drone used by the banned group Balochistan Liberation Army. According to the officials, this marks the second major counterterrorism success in the area within 24 hours.
