Islamabad: The UK-based independent research and strategic analysis organization Pakistan Playbook, which focuses on South Asian geopolitics and regional security, has published a comprehensive evidence-based report highlighting what it describes as India's severe military and strategic setbacks during Marka-e-Haq, while emphasizing Pakistan's decisive military and diplomatic achievements. According to the report, international media outlets and research organizations had previously also acknowledged Pakistan's professional capabilities.

Indian Air Force Losses and Rafale Aircraft Destruction

According to the report published by the British strategic research and communications firm, Pakistan's air and defensive strategy during Marka-e-Haq proved highly effective. The report states that U.S. and French intelligence officials also confirmed that India suffered significant human and material losses during the conflict, including the destruction of several Indian aircraft, among them advanced Rafale fighter jets.

The report further states that India's Chief of Defence Staff and its Defence Attaché have publicly acknowledged these losses.

The report highlights the following key military findings:

  • Operation Sindoor Failed: According to the report, Pakistan's effective defensive strategy prevented all Indian attacks under Operation Sindoor from causing damage to Pakistani installations.
  • Strong Air Defence System: During Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan's modern air defence system reportedly neutralized Indian drones before they could reach their targets.
  • Satellite Evidence: The report claims that satellite imagery shows that none of Pakistan's combat aircraft sustained damage during the conflict.

Modern Warfare and Cost-Effective Military Strategy

The research report states that modern warfare is determined not merely by large defence expenditures but by strategic vision and professional military leadership. It concludes that despite limited resources, Pakistan achieved clear military superiority over India.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir's Diplomatic Role and Global Recognition

Following the military phase of the conflict, Pakistan also achieved significant diplomatic successes, according to the report. It credits Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir with strengthening Pakistan's diplomatic relations with the United States, the European Union, and other major global powers after Marka-e-Haq.

According to international observers quoted in the report:

"Pakistan emerged successful not only on the military front but also diplomatically. In particular, Pakistan's role in facilitating the peace agreement between the United States and Iran received international appreciation, helping prevent a major regional conflict and significantly enhancing Pakistan's global standing and credibility."
