Islamabad (Web Desk) — President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic coal mine accident in Sorange, on the outskirts of Quetta.

According to a press release issued by the President’s Secretariat Media Wing, the president extended his condolences to the bereaved families over the loss of precious lives. He also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and patience and strength for their families.

Instructions to Expedite Rescue Operations and Provide Medical Assistance

The president directed the relevant authorities to utilise all available resources for the safe and swift recovery of all workers trapped inside the coal mine.

Immediate Access: Authorities should ensure that rescue teams reach all trapped workers as quickly as possible.

Best Medical Treatment: Those injured in the accident should be provided with the best available medical treatment on a priority basis.

Call for Strict Implementation of Safety Protocols in Mines

Expressing concern over the accident, President Asif Ali Zardari emphasised that protecting the lives of workers employed in coal mines must be treated as a top priority.
