Quetta: Major Terrorist Attack on Security Forces Near Wali Tangi Dam Foiled, Three Militants Killed

Quetta (Web Desk) — Security forces foiled a major terrorist attack on sensitive security posts near Wali Tangi Dam on the outskirts of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, through a timely and effective counter-operation.

According to sources, the militants attempted to simultaneously target security checkpoints established in the Spin Karez and Zarghun Ghar areas near Quetta.

Joint Attack by Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan

Security sources said the attack was jointly planned and carried out by militants belonging to the proscribed Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan groups.

Rocket Fire: The militants used heavy weapons and rockets in an attempt to target the security posts.

Strong Response by Security Forces: Personnel deployed at the posts demonstrated alertness and an effective counter-strategy, successfully repelling the assault.

Militant Casualties: Three militants were killed at the scene during intense retaliatory firing by the security forces, while several wounded attackers managed to escape.

Search Operation Underway in the Area

Immediately after the attack, additional contingents of the security forces cordoned off the mountainous routes surrounding Wali Tangi Dam, Spin Karez, and Zarghun Ghar.

A large-scale clearance operation is underway to locate the wounded and concealed militants who fled the scene.

Security has been placed on high alert across the area, while additional personnel have been deployed at sensitive locations.
