Quetta Acid Attack Victim Lady Doctor Airlifted to Karachi for Treatment, Government to Bear All Expenses

Quetta:On the special directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, a female postgraduate (PG) doctor who sustained injuries in a brutal acid attack at Civil Hospital Quetta has been urgently transferred to Karachi for advanced medical treatment.

The victim was shifted via the state-of-the-art Peoples Air Ambulance, which is equipped with modern medical facilities, under the close supervision of specialist doctors and paramedical staff to ensure safe and continuous care during transit.

According to an official spokesperson, the critical medical evacuation mission was led by senior pilot Captain Ali Azad, who successfully ensured the patient’s safe and timely transfer to Karachi with high professional standards.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the doctor has been shifted to Karachi to receive the best possible treatment in burn and plastic surgery facilities. He further confirmed that the Government of Balochistan will bear all expenses related to her medical care, long-term rehabilitation, and the welfare of her family. Provincial authorities are closely monitoring her condition and maintaining continuous contact with the medical team.

The Chief Minister also announced that the main suspect involved in the acid attack has been neutralized, adding that there will be no compromise on the enforcement of law and order in the province.

He directed concerned administrative and police officials to remain in constant contact with the victim’s family and ensure provision of all legal and social support.

Reaffirming the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards crimes against women, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that individuals involved in violence, harassment, or serious crimes against women have no place in society and will be dealt with strictly under the law.
