Qalat Operation: 5 Terrorists Killed, CM Sarfraz Bugti Pays Tribute to Security Forces

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has praised the successful and effective operation conducted by security forces against terrorists near Qalat and paid rich tribute to the personnel involved.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the forces acted promptly, killing five terrorists and safely rescuing 23 civilian hostages from the terrorists’ hideout. He said the timely action foiled an attempt to disrupt public movement on the national highway.

According to the Balochistan chief minister, the terrorists were pursuing plans involving kidnapping for ransom, extortion and vehicle snatching, which were foiled through the professional response of the security forces. During the operation, forces seized 6 trucks, 3 buses and 2 vehicles, along with a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti praised the swift and effective response of the security forces and made it clear that counter-terrorism operations in the province would continue with full force. He said state institutions remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism carried out with foreign support and assistance, while the protection of citizens’ lives and property and national highways would be ensured at all costs.
