Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Chair High-Level Law and Order Meeting in Quetta

Quetta — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Quetta on a one-day official visit, where he is scheduled to chair a high-level meeting on the province's law and order situation. The meeting will review the overall security environment and ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Balochistan.

The Prime Minister was received at Quetta Airport by the Governor of Balochistan, the Chief Minister, and senior civil and military officials.

Security Briefing on Balochistan's Current Situation

According to official sources, senior military commanders and heads of law enforcement agencies will brief the Prime Minister on the latest security developments and ongoing counterterrorism operations across the province.

Key agenda items include:

• Comprehensive Security Review: A detailed in-camera briefing on recent security incidents, challenges, and measures taken to protect civilians in Balochistan.
• Future Strategy: Discussions are expected on strengthening implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), expanding intelligence-based operations (IBOs), and enhancing measures against militant networks.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to meet members of the provincial cabinet and local tribal elders to discuss administrative priorities and development initiatives alongside security matters.
