Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Performs Umrah in Makkah Alongside Army Chief and High-Level Delegation

Makkah, August 7, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif performed Umrah in Makkah along with a high-level civilian and military delegation. During the visit, special prayers were offered at Masjid al-Haram for Pakistan's national security, economic stability, and unity among the Muslim Ummah.
Senior Civilian and Military Leadership Accompanies Prime Minister
Several senior government and military officials also performed Umrah alongside the Prime Minister, including:
- Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
- Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir — Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces
- Khawaja Muhammad Asif — Federal Minister for Defence
- Attaullah Tarar — Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting
- Tariq Fatemi — Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs
Members of the delegation were also granted the blessed opportunity to offer voluntary prayers inside the Holy Kaaba during a special visit.
The delegation's visit to the holy city included prayers for Pakistan's peace, prosperity, stability, and the unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
