Ashura Teaches Patience, Steadfastness, and Truth, Says President Asif Ali Zardari

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, in his special message to the Muslim Ummah and the people of Pakistan on the sacred occasion of Ashura, said that the day of Ashura conveys timeless lessons of patience, perseverance, sacrifice, and truthfulness. He emphasized that the nation should embrace the true philosophy of the sacrifices made by the Grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to move the country forward.

Karbala Is a Great and Enduring Chapter of Islamic History

The President stated that the Battle of Karbala remains one of the greatest and most meaningful chapters in Islamic history, serving as a lasting source of inspiration for the oppressed throughout generations.

He said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions demonstrated that refusing to bow before falsehood is the true essence of faith.

Appeal for Peace, Tolerance, and Inter-Sect Harmony

In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari urged people from all schools of thought and citizens across the country to uphold the following principles:

Inter-Sect Respect: Peace, tolerance, and mutual respect among all schools of thought should be maintained during the sacred days of Ashura.

Rejecting Harmful Conduct: Citizens should avoid rumors and all forms of provocative behavior that could disturb public peace.

National Unity: Everyone should play a positive role in promoting national unity, solidarity, and brotherhood for the country's progress and stability.
