Two Suspected Militants Killed While Allegedly Planting Explosive in Panjgur

Panjgur (2 July 2026) — Two suspected militants were killed in an explosion in the village of Morten, near Gwargo in Balochistan's Panjgur district, after an improvised explosive device (IED) they were allegedly attempting to plant detonated prematurely.

According to local sources, the individuals were reportedly placing the explosive device near a public route when it exploded due to an apparent technical malfunction or accidental detonation, killing both of them at the scene.

Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to ensure the safety of nearby routes and to check for any additional explosive devices.
