Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his special message to the nation on the historic and sacred occasion of Ashura, said the day reminds humanity of the enduring values of patience, perseverance, sacrifice, and commitment to truth. He emphasized that eliminating hatred and division from society is essential for the country's stability and progress.

Karbala Reflects the Enduring Importance of Upholding Principles

The Prime Minister stated that the Battle of Karbala is not merely a historical event but an everlasting reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of truth and justice.

He said the example set by the Grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) teaches that steadfast adherence to principles forms the foundation of a dignified, stable, and honorable society.

Call for Justice, Harmony, and National Unity

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to focus on the following priorities while addressing contemporary challenges:

Promotion of Justice: The sacrifices of Karbala inspire individuals and society to uphold justice and fairness in every sphere of life.

Ending Hatred and Division: He stressed the need to replace differences and internal discord with mutual respect, tolerance, and national unity.

Inter-Sect Harmony: The Prime Minister called upon people from all schools of thought to promote mutual respect and work together against incitement, hatred, and attempts to disrupt national harmony.
