Lahore (Sports Desk): Pakistan’s former hockey star Sohail Abbas, widely regarded as a fear factor for goalkeepers in the world of hockey, has turned 51 years old.
Sohail Abbas, Pakistan’s legendary penalty corner specialist, scored a total of 348 international goals for the national team during his illustrious career, which remains a record.
He also holds the distinction of scoring the highest number of goals in a single year with 59 goals. In addition, he has the unique achievements of being the top scorer at the Busan Asian Games, completing the fastest 200 goals, and becoming the only defensive player to score two hat-tricks in Olympic competitions.
His outstanding performances earned him a prominent place in international hockey, and he is still considered one of the greatest players in the history of Pakistan hockey.
