Parachinar Airport Re-Activated After Long Closure, Successful Test Landing Completed

Parachinar (Balochistan News Desk) The long-inactive Parachinar Airport in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been reactivated.

According to sources, this important development was made possible through joint efforts of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Works Organization, and Pakistan Airports Authority.

Sources said that Pakistan Army Aviation conducted practical landing and take-off tests on April 26 to assess the operational readiness and functionality of the airport runway.

During these test operations, a total of six successful landings and take-offs were completed, after which the runway was declared compliant with professional standards and high safety requirements.

Officials stated that the restoration of the airport is expected to significantly improve air connectivity and enhance travel facilities in the region.
