Pakistan’s Outsourcing Exports Surpass $300 Million

AI adoption strengthens Pakistani companies’ global competitiveness; State Bank releases July–May figures

Islamabad: Rapid growth in Pakistan’s IT and digital services sector has created broader opportunities for the country in the global outsourcing market. With the support of artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions, Pakistan’s Business Process Outsourcing sector has emerged as one of the country’s fastest-growing export industries.

Call Centre Exports Record Impressive 19% Growth

According to the latest report issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, the combined export earnings of BPO companies and call centres crossed the $300 million mark during the first 11 months of fiscal year 2025–26, from July to May.

Latest figures: Call centre exports rose to $322 million during July–May, compared with $269 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Growth rate: The sector recorded 19% year-on-year growth, driven by increasing global demand for Pakistani services.

AI Technology and Global Competitiveness

Pakistani service providers are increasingly adopting AI technology to improve the efficiency of customer support operations. Automation, rapid data analytics and instant customer services have enabled Pakistani companies to compete more effectively with firms from other countries in the international market.

According to the report, nearly 90% of Pakistan’s call centres and BPO companies are currently providing services directly to overseas clients and earning valuable foreign exchange for the country.

Improved digital infrastructure, government policy support and a skilled workforce have given this sector strong potential to generate new and respectable employment opportunities for millions of young people across Pakistan.
