Pakistani-origin Dr Zafar Iqbal Appointed Head of Sports Medicine at Arsenal

Lahore (Sports Desk) English Premier League club Arsenal has appointed Pakistani-origin Dr Zafar Iqbal as its Head of Sports Medicine.

British-Pakistani Dr Zafar Iqbal, who belongs to Gojra, while his family background is reported to be from Sahiwal, is considered a well-known expert in the field of sports medical science.

Dr Zafar Iqbal joined Arsenal in 2024. Before this, he has also worked with English clubs Crystal Palace F.C. and Liverpool F.C..

According to reports, Dr Zafar Iqbal has special expertise in sports medicine, and several Pakistani cricketers also consult him for fitness and injury-related issues.

His success is being seen as an important milestone in the field of sports medicine both in Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
