Another former Indian military officer has openly admitted to the use of Afghan territory for carrying out activities aimed at creating terrorism and instability in Pakistan, with the claim again raising questions about an alleged nexus between the Modi government and the Afghan Taliban regime.

Former Indian Army officer Colonel (Retd.) Shailendra Singh, while speaking during a programme, reportedly revealed details of India’s anti-Pakistan activities and alleged strategy. He acknowledged that India seeks to make extensive use of Afghan territory to pursue its objectives against Pakistan.

Colonel (Retd.) Shailendra Singh also revealed what he described as the priorities of the Indian security establishment, saying that New Delhi has consistently sought to keep the Pakistani military’s primary focus on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border so that its resources and capabilities remain divided.

According to the former Indian officer, it is a deliberate strategy of the Modi government to keep the Pakistan Army engaged with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, while, in the same context, supporting terrorist organizations such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan.

According to defence experts, the alleged admission by the former Indian military officer further highlights concerns that New Delhi is using militant groups and the Afghan border as strategic instruments in the region.
