Lahore (Sports Desk) A new history has been made in Pakistan football as the Under-16 football team has departed for Kazakhstan to participate in the UEFA Development Tournament for the first time.

Pakistan Football Federation President Mohsin Gillani has termed this development a major milestone for Pakistan football, saying that participation in a UEFA event is an important achievement and a great opportunity. According to him, this moment holds a prominent place in the history of Pakistan football.

He further said that continuous efforts are being made for the promotion and development of football in Pakistan, and such international events provide young players with the best opportunity to learn and improve their skills.

The tournament will continue from 24 to 30 April.

Pakistan will play its first match against Kazakhstan on 25 April, while it will face Russia on 27 April and Azerbaijan on 30 April.
