Lahore (Sports Desk): Pakistan has been awarded the hosting rights for two international women’s tennis tournaments, under which the country will host back-to-back Women’s International events for the first time.
According to details, these competitions will begin on October 5 in Islamabad, raising hopes that this development will open new avenues for the promotion of women’s tennis in Pakistan.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, termed this development a major achievement for women’s tennis, saying it will provide local players an opportunity to showcase their skills at the international level.
Similarly, Asma Khawar, President of the Pakistan Women’s Tennis Association, stated that these tournaments will further strengthen Pakistan’s position in global tennis and play an important role in promoting the sport in the country.
