Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, held a strategic meeting with Chinese Minister Counselor Yang Guangyuan to strengthen bilateral ties in electric vehicles (EVs), high-tech industrial manufacturing, and regional trade logistics.


Transforming Pakistan’s Auto Sector

Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized that integrating Chinese EV technology and battery manufacturing would provide a much-needed impetus to Pakistan’s automotive industry. He noted that the transition to modern technology is essential for defining the country’s new industrial trajectory.


Gwadar as a Regional Trade Hub

A key highlight of the discussion was the development of Gwadar. Both sides agreed to bolster logistics connectivity and solidify Gwadar’s role as a pivotal regional trade hub, further deepening the economic partnership between the two neighboring nations.


Agro-Industrial Synergy and Exports

The meeting also focused on the value addition of agricultural products, including dates. The Minister highlighted that enhancing processing techniques and quality standards would significantly boost Pakistan’s export volume to international markets, including China.
