Chief Minister Balochistan Takes Key Step for Budget Consultation; All Parliamentary Parties Agree on Pro-People Budget

Quetta — A highly important consultative meeting of the provincial parliamentary committee on the budget was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, with the objective of finalizing a balanced and people-friendly budget for the upcoming financial year.

The meeting was attended by parliamentary leaders from major political parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and Awami National Party (ANP), who presented their proposals for the province’s sustainable development.

Budget prepared through political consultation

During the session, leaders from all parties discussed proposed development schemes in detail, focusing on public welfare and improvement of provincial infrastructure. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government believes in a collective consultative process to ensure uniform development across all districts of the province.

“Despite limited resources, our government is committed to providing maximum relief to the people. Positive and constructive suggestions from all political parties are being incorporated into the budget-making process,” said Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Priority to education, health, and underdeveloped areas

The Chief Minister assured participants that the upcoming budget would focus on public needs rather than traditional political priorities. Key areas of focus include:

• Basic facilities: Significant allocation for education and health sectors
• Backward districts: Priority development of remote and underdeveloped areas to address feelings of deprivation
• Transparency and quality: No compromise on transparency and timely completion of development projects

Concluding the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the prosperity of the province is only possible when transparency is ensured in development processes and public funds are utilized effectively for the benefit of the people.
