PkMAP Lawyers Forum Files Constitutional Petition Challenging the Case in Quetta
QUETTA : Chairman of the Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, visited the Balochistan High Court (BHC) to challenge a legal case registered against him.
The constitutional petition was formally moved by the PkMAP Lawyers Forum, seeking the immediate quashing of the First Information Report (FIR) lodged against the veteran politician.
Petition Demands Dismissal of Political Case Against PkMAP Chief
According to the text of the petition, the legal team argued that the FIR is entirely unconstitutional, lacks legal merit, and violates fundamental rights. The plea has requested the high court to nullify the case.
Achakzai’s arrival at the high court saw a strong turnout of legal professionals and party supporters, alongside heightened security measures on the court premises.
