Operation Shabaan Intensifies in Balochistan; 75 Terrorists Killed
Thirteen more militants killed in 24 hours after Mangi Dam attack; Khuzdar assault repulsed
Quetta (Web Desk): Following the recent terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station in Balochistan, the joint “Operation Shabaan” by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police is continuing with full force. According to security sources, a total of 75 Khawarij terrorists have been killed in intelligence-based operations conducted across different parts of the province since July 5.
According to the latest details provided by security sources, the forces have further tightened the siege around Fitna al-Khawarij in difficult mountainous terrain, where both ground and aerial operations are continuing.
Operation Shabaan: Major Achievements So Far
The terrorists have suffered heavy losses during the organised operations conducted by the security forces.
Latest operation: During the past 24 hours, the forces carried out an effective operation and killed 13 more Khawarij terrorists.
Initial phase: At the beginning of the operation, 26 members of Fitna al-Khawarij had already been killed on July 6 and 7.
Total fatalities: The total number of terrorists killed during Operation Shabaan alone has now reached 39.
Attack on Zaidi Police Station in Khuzdar Repulsed, Eight Terrorists Killed
Alongside Operation Shabaan, the security forces have also foiled terrorist plans in other parts of the province. Early this morning, a major terrorist attack on a police station in the Zaidi area of Khuzdar was repulsed.
Pakistan Army and FC personnel launched a swift counter-operation immediately after receiving information about the attack. As a result, confirmed reports indicate that eight terrorists were killed.
Security sources further stated that there are strong reports of another five to six terrorists being killed in helicopter actions conducted during the same operation.
Security sources said these targeted operations would continue without interruption until peace and order are fully restored across the province and Fitna al-Khawarij is completely eliminated.
