No No-Go Areas in Balochistan, Says CM Sarfraz Bugti

Karachi: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the recent attack targeting travelers, saying the people of Balochistan do not tolerate such acts against their guests. Speaking to the media in Karachi, he confirmed that security forces immediately launched an operation at the scene, during which three militants were killed.

Commenting on the province's security situation, Bugti said he had just returned from Awaran and that there was no area in Balochistan where the writ of the state did not exist.

Investigation Underway, Support Announced for Victims

The Chief Minister said the affected individuals had been staying at a friend's house and reportedly lost their way before the incident. He confirmed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate all aspects of the case, adding that it would be premature to comment before the investigation is completed.

The provincial government has also announced immediate assistance for the affected families.

• Government support: The Balochistan government will cover all medical expenses of the affected families and bear 100% of the educational expenses of the affected girls.
• Public security: The Chief Minister said security challenges remain because threats cannot always be identified in advance, but the government remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
• Normalcy continues: He said daily life and tourism in Quetta and other parts of the province continue as normal, adding that maintaining peace and security is an ongoing process.
