ISLAMABAD: To pay a resounding tribute to the Father of the Nation, National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, organized a prestigious one-day international seminar marking the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The seminar, presided over by Rector NUML, Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani (Retd), drew a large gathering of faculty members, scholars, and a vibrant segment of the student body. The speakers extensively reviewed Quaid-e-Azam’s life, his landmark constitutional struggle, and his foundational contributions toward creating an independent state.
Connecting the New Generation with Jinnah's Legacy
Speaking on the occasion, Rector NUML Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani (Retd) emphasized the university's commitment to national ideology. He stated that the grand event was intentionally structured to reconnect today's youth with the immense sacrifices and political struggle of the Quaid, serving as an intellectual beacon for the future leaders of Pakistan.

Dr. Asif Riaz (Chairman, Quaid-e-Azam Foundation): Termed the seminar a historic milestone, noting that Quaid-e-Azam's disciplined lifestyle and political wisdom remain an indispensable roadmap for the younger generation.
Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmed (President, Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam): Warmly welcomed the initiative, stating that educational institutions must regularly hold such discourse to keep the true spirit of the Pakistan Movement alive.
The seminar concluded with a collective resolve from the participants, particularly the students, who pledged to play an active, constructive role in national development in strict alignment with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
