Mastung Police have exposed an organized group involved in stealing valuable WAPDA electricity wires during a major and successful operation, arresting four suspects and recovering a large quantity of stolen wires along with a vehicle and a motorcycle used in the crimes.
According to police sources, the operation was conducted in the Killi Reki area on the special instructions and under the supervision of SP Mastung Allah Bakhsh Baloch. The action was taken on credible intelligence that a large stock of stolen WAPDA wires was present in the area and that the suspects were preparing to transport them elsewhere.
Acting swiftly on the information, the police team developed a strategy and began pursuing a suspicious vehicle, which eventually led them to a secret hideout. A successful raid was carried out, resulting in the recovery of a large quantity of stolen WAPDA wires and the arrest of all four suspects on the spot. These activities not only caused significant financial losses to the national exchequer but also disrupted the power supply system, creating difficulties for the public.
Police officials stated that further interrogation of the suspects is underway, and raids are being conducted in different areas to arrest their facilitators and remaining accomplices.
SP Mastung praised the performance of the police officers involved in the operation and reiterated that Mastung Police remain committed to eliminating crime, protecting public life and property, and safeguarding national assets.
