More than 40,000 Operations This Year, 2,084 Terrorists Killed: DG ISPR
Indian and Afghan Taliban Nexus Exposed in Balochistan; Security Forces Continue Intensive Operations
Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan Army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during a major press conference on the country's ongoing counterterrorism operations, revealed that 40,348 intelligence-based operations have been conducted this year, resulting in the elimination of 2,084 terrorists.
The DG ISPR emphasized that there would be no compromise on the writ of the state, stating that terrorists have only two choices: surrender their weapons or prepare for complete elimination.
Security Situation and Operational Statistics
The military spokesperson presented provincial details of the operations and casualties:
- Balochistan: More than 31,080 operations conducted.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 7,177 operations carried out.
- Other regions: 2,091 operations completed.
- Terrorist incidents: 3,145 incidents occurred this year, including 28 bomb explosions.
- Casualties and Martyrs: A total of 819 people were martyred, including 394 security personnel and 322 civilians, in the fight against terrorism.

Afghan Support and Indian Network Exposed
The DG ISPR presented evidence claiming that Afghan nationals were involved in all recent bomb blasts and suicide attacks in Pakistan, including those in Tank and Karachi.
- Afghan Taliban and RSS Nexus: He alleged that the Afghan Taliban regime is providing safe havens and logistical support to terrorists working with India against Pakistan.
- Honey Traps and Smuggling: Indian intelligence agencies and the group referred to as "Fitna al-Hindustan" are allegedly recruiting women into the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) through honey-trap tactics. He also claimed that proceeds from drug and diesel smuggling are being used to finance terrorism.
- Success Against Narcotics: Authorities seized narcotics worth PKR 18 billion this year and arrested 4,500 individuals.
Feudal System and False Propaganda
The military spokesperson criticized the feudal and tribal system in Balochistan, saying that certain influential elements do not want poor children to receive education or become engineers and doctors.
- More than 300 Fake Indian Websites: He alleged that India is using its media and over 300 fake websites to spread misleading propaganda against Pakistan.
- Missing Persons: The Commission on Missing Persons received 2,933 cases, while several allegedly missing individuals were reportedly killed during terrorist attacks against security forces.
