Islamabad: To strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy and help traditional businesses adapt to the modern technological landscape, global technology company Meta and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication have launched a comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) training program.

Under the initiative, the Small Business Growth Academy will provide practical training in AI and digital marketing tools to more than 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across nine major cities in Pakistan.

Focus on Women Entrepreneurs and Key Business Sectors

The program aims to equip business owners with modern AI-based methods for reaching online customers, conducting targeted digital marketing campaigns and automating customer support.

The initiative will give particular attention to:

Women-Led Businesses: Empowering women entrepreneurs and helping them promote their products through online markets.

Traditional Crafts and Textiles: Supporting local products in meeting the requirements of global e-commerce markets.

IT Services and Freelancing: Improving the professional and digital capabilities of businesses and individuals providing technology-based services.

Nationwide Workshops and Global Connectivity

The Small Business Growth Academy will conduct physical workshops as well as online training sessions, enabling entrepreneurs from remote areas to benefit from the program.

The initiative is part of Meta’s broader training framework covering 12 countries across the Asia-Pacific region and is aimed at helping Pakistani businesses connect with international markets.

The combination of digital skills and modern AI technologies could create new employment opportunities, strengthen the competitiveness of local businesses and help small enterprises become a stronger component of Pakistan’s digital economy.
