Peshawar (Balochistan News)The head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Sheikh-ul-Hadith, former MPA, and member of the JUI central council Maulana Idris.
In his statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the news of Maulana Idris’s martyrdom has left him deeply saddened. According to him, Maulana Idris spent his entire life serving and defending Islam and Pakistan.
He said that the martyrdom of a white-bearded religious scholar is an attack on those who speak about the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Pakistan. He added that religious scholars have always remained ideological protectors of society, but effective measures for their protection are not being taken.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that Maulana Idris was a highly respected scholar, an intellectual politician, and a thoughtful personality who always preferred peace and politics based on reason.
He said that Maulana Idris spent his entire life in religious services, and his knowledge and character will remain a guiding light for future generations.
The JUI chief demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident and their exemplary punishment, saying that rising lawlessness and insecurity in the country is alarming.
