Martyr's Wife Earns Gold Medal and Joins Pakistan Navy
Karachi: Elveera Hamza, the wife of Shaheed Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid, has transformed the grief of her husband's martyrdom into a remarkable example of courage and determination by earning a commission as an officer in the Pakistan Navy. She successfully completed her training and was awarded the prestigious Commandant Gold Medal for outstanding performance before joining the Navy's Information Technology (IT) Branch.
A Journey Inspired by Her Husband's Uniform
Speaking at the Pakistan Naval Academy's Passing-Out Parade, Elveera Hamza said that her husband's sacrifice became the greatest source of inspiration for her journey.
Elveera Hamza said:
"The martyrdom of my husband, Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid, inspired me to join the Pakistan Navy. Seeing myself wearing the same uniform that my husband once wore is a moment of immense pride for me and my daughter. These emotions are beyond words."
She further stated that her time at the Pakistan Naval Academy was an exceptional experience that prepared her both mentally and physically to serve the country.

Despite being the mother of a young daughter, the wife of Shaheed Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid successfully completed rigorous military training with distinction, setting a powerful example for Pakistani women.
