Major Terrorist Attack on Mangi Dam Foiled; 15 Militants Killed, 9 Police Officers Martyred
Quetta — Security forces and police have foiled a major terrorist attack targeting the under-construction Mangi Dam in Balochistan's Ziarat district. According to officials, militants attempted to sabotage the strategic national infrastructure project but were repelled after an intense exchange of fire.
Police officials said 15 militants were killed during the operation, while nine police personnel lost their lives in the line of duty. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the attackers.
Security Forces Repel Assault on National Infrastructure
According to security authorities, the attackers attempted to breach the security perimeter surrounding the Mangi Dam construction site but were stopped by police personnel who held their positions despite heavy gunfire.
