Lahore (Sports Desk) A thrilling cycling competition was held in Lahore for cycling enthusiasts, where athletes from across the country showcased their skills.
The 50-kilometre race started from Punjab Stadium Lahore and was participated in by more than 50 cyclists. The route passed through Walton Road, Canal Road, and Mall Road, and concluded at Liberty Chowk. During the race, participants demonstrated impressive speed and endurance.
After a competitive and intense contest, Muhammad Shakeel from Punjab secured first position, winning a gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 30,000.
Arslan from the Pakistan Army secured second position and won a silver medal, while Talha Khan came third, earning a bronze medal along with a cash prize.
Cycling organization president Khawaja Idrees Haider said that efforts are being made to promote cycling in the country. He added that a women’s cycling race will also be organized soon, while larger competitions are planned for 2026.
