ISPR Summer Internship Students Visit Historic Bala Hisar Fort in Peshawar

Peshawar: A delegation of students from various universities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, participating in the ISPR Summer Internship Programme 2026, visited the historic Bala Hisar Fort in Peshawar. The educational visit aimed to familiarize young people with Pakistan’s defence, historical heritage and the role of security forces in maintaining peace and stability.

At the beginning of the visit, the students laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offered Fateha to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of the country.

Exploring Historical Heritage and Meeting IGFC

During the study visit, the delegation toured the historic museum at Bala Hisar Fort and received a detailed briefing on the fort’s centuries-old strategic importance and the cultural heritage of the region.

The students were also briefed on the role of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) in maintaining peace, combating terrorism and supporting social and economic development in the region.

Later, the students met with the Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North), who briefed them on the prevailing security situation and challenges facing the region and responded to their questions.

Tribute to Martyrs: Students visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and acknowledged the sacrifices made for national security.

Understanding Regional History: The visit to Bala Hisar Fort and its museum provided students with an opportunity to explore the region’s historical and cultural heritage.

Positive Feedback: Students described the visit as highly informative, saying it gave them a new perspective on national defence, the professional role of the Frontier Corps and the sacrifices made for peace.
