Iran Reviewing Latest US Proposal Through Pakistan Mediation
*TEHRAN:* Iran is reviewing the latest response from the United States regarding a proposed ceasefire agreement as diplomatic negotiations continue through Pakistani mediation, Iranian state-linked media reported on Wednesday.
According to Iran’s Nour News Agency, Washington and Tehran have continued exchanging messages through Pakistani intermediaries as talks move forward.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the discussions were being conducted “based on the original text of Iran’s 14 points.”
“Based on the original text of Iran’s 14 points, the exchange of messages has been carried out on several occasions,” Baghaei said.
“We have received the views of the American side and are reviewing them,” he added.
The statement came during a visit to Tehran by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, as Islamabad continues diplomatic efforts to help ease tensions between the United States and Iran.
The latest diplomatic engagement comes amid growing international concern over rising tensions involving Washington, Tehran, and Israel in recent weeks.
Officials in Islamabad have increasingly positioned Pakistan as a key intermediary in the negotiations, with discussions reportedly focusing on ceasefire arrangements and broader regional security issues.
