India Responsible for Militant Attacks in Balochistan, Says Mashal Malik

Islamabad — Hurriyat leader and former Special Assistant Mashal Malik has strongly condemned the recent wave of militant attacks in Balochistan, expressing grief over the loss of lives. She alleged that India is supporting terrorism aimed at undermining Balochistan's development and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Mashal Malik said Pakistan's security forces had responded effectively to the attacks and thwarted what she described as an external agenda.
Tribute to Security Forces and Recent Counterterrorism Operations
Speaking about the recent incidents, Mashal Malik paid tribute to the sacrifices made by security personnel and civilians.
Key points highlighted include:
- Casualties: She said that a total of 42 people, including civilians and members of the security forces, were killed during the recent attacks.
- Security Personnel: According to her statement, 11 Pakistan Army personnel and 27 police officers lost their lives while responding to militant attacks. She added that the police personnel killed in Ziarat were local officers serving their communities.
- Counterterrorism Operations: She stated that security forces killed 54 militants during recent operations, including 15 militants during an operation in Ziarat.
- Call for Unity: Mashal Malik emphasized national unity, saying that Balochistan's development is vital for Pakistan's overall progress and expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.
