Historic Tribal Jirga Held in Awaran; Commitment to Lasting Peace and Development

Awaran — Senior civil and military leadership of Balochistan gathered in Awaran for a major tribal jirga to discuss lasting peace, development, and prosperity in the Makran Division. The gathering was attended by Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and the Corps Commander Balochistan, where tribal elders welcomed the delegation.

Addressing the participants, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the provincial government is committed to improving the living conditions of people in Awaran and other underdeveloped areas of the Makran Division. He announced that the scope of ongoing development projects would be expanded to accelerate progress in the region.

The Chief Minister emphasized that sustainable development depends on lasting peace and effective cooperation between the public, civil administration, and security forces. He stated that the government would continue working to improve basic public services while maintaining the state's authority.

He also said that several new socio-economic development projects are under consideration to improve the quality of life in Awaran and that further announcements would be made in due course.
