Higher Education Vital for Socio-Economic Revolution, Says Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel has emphasized that higher education is the most effective tool for driving socio-economic transformation and sustainable development across society.

The Governor made these remarks during a meeting with Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University (SBKWU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rubina Mushtaq at the Governor House in Quetta.

Praising SBKWU, Mandokhel described the institution as a symbol of hope and progress for women in Balochistan, reflecting the aspirations and ambitions of a significant segment of the province's population.

He stressed that combining quality education with modern and market-oriented skills is essential to empower female students and enable them to contribute effectively to national development.

The Governor urged the university administration to focus on skill-based education that aligns with current job market demands, ensuring graduates are equipped for professional success and economic participation.

Highlighting the university's progress, Mandokhel said collective efforts and strategic planning over the past two years have placed the institution on a path of sustainable growth. He also expressed satisfaction over the university's improving academic rankings and achievements.

"Every graduate of this university is a source of pride for Balochistan," he remarked.
