High-Level Meeting Reviews Muharram Security Plan

Protection of Lives and Property Declared Top Priority; Federal Government Assures Full Support to Provinces

Islamabad: An important review meeting was held at the Ministry of Interior to finalize comprehensive security arrangements and maintain law and order across the country during Muharram-ul-Haram. The meeting was jointly chaired by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and the Federal Secretary for Interior.

The high-level administrative and strategic session was attended by Home Secretaries and senior police officials from all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, where detailed consultations were held on nationwide security measures.

During the meeting, officials were briefed on the integrated security plan prepared for Muharram processions and religious gatherings. Minister of State Talal Chaudhry directed law enforcement agencies to ensure comprehensive security arrangements, emphasizing that maintaining peace and public order remains one of the government's highest priorities.

"The protection of citizens' lives and property during Muharram is the government's foremost responsibility," Talal Chaudhry stated. "Security measures should be further strengthened to prevent any disruptive elements from disturbing the peace."

Federal Government Reaffirms Support for Provincial Authorities

Talal Chaudhry assured provincial governments and administrations that the federal government would utilize all available resources to maintain peace and security. He instructed provincial authorities to immediately inform the federal government of any additional security assistance or logistical support required.

Coordinated National Strategy: Home Secretaries and senior police officials from all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan participated in developing a coordinated security strategy.
