High-Level Belarusian Defence Delegation Holds Important Meeting with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu
Pakistan Air Force and Belarus Agree to Enhance Mutual Defence Cooperation and Joint Exercises
Islamabad — A high-level defence delegation from the Republic of Belarus, led by Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Muraveiko Pavel Nikolayevich, met Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
During the important meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, and further opportunities for cooperation in the military and defence sectors.
Belarus Acknowledges the Pakistan Air Force’s Technological Advancement and Self-Reliance
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral defence relations with Belarus. He emphasised the need to expand cooperation in the following key areas:
Joint Military Training: Improving the operational capabilities of the armed forces of both countries.
Industrial and Technical Partnership: Promoting bilateral cooperation in advanced aviation sectors.
Technical Collaboration: Sharing technical expertise and supporting initiatives aimed at achieving greater self-reliance.
Major General Nikolayevich, head of the Belarusian delegation, praised the Pakistan Air Force’s outstanding operational preparedness, acquisition of advanced technology, and achievements in self-reliance. He also expressed Belarus’s desire to further expand defence relations with Pakistan.
