Hangu Police Martyrs Avenged: Alleged Mastermind of Khazina Banda Attack, Muawiya, Killed
Hangu (Web Desk) — Security forces have reported a major development in operations against those allegedly involved in the attack on Hangu Police, announcing the killing of Muawiya, described as the alleged mastermind of the Khazina Banda checkpoint attack and a senior commander of the militant group referred to by Pakistani authorities as Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to security sources, the intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in the Chapri Naryab area of Hangu after receiving what officials described as credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants.
Blow to the Militant Network in Kurram
Security officials said Muawiya was regarded as a key figure within the militant network and had allegedly assumed responsibility for operations in the Kurram region following the reported death of commander Kazim.
Authorities further alleged that he was wanted in connection with multiple attacks targeting security forces, police personnel, and civilians.
