Quetta: Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail stated that the full development and operationalization of Gwadar Port would trigger a “silent economic revolution” capable of transforming Pakistan into a major hub of the global economy. During an important strategic meeting with Feng Diheng, Acting Consul General of China in Karachi, the Governor emphasized that Pakistan possesses the capacity to serve as a strong economic bridge connecting the markets, industries, and cultures of Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.

75 Years of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations and Promotion of Modern Technology

Speaking on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, Governor Mandokhail noted that both countries have consistently stood by each other during difficult times. He stressed the importance of Chinese cooperation in preparing the youth of Balochistan to meet the challenges of the modern era.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI and advanced technologies will be introduced in public universities across Balochistan with Chinese cooperation.

World-Class Education and Scholarships: The Chinese government will assist Baloch students through international scholarship opportunities and advanced technical training.

Enhanced Regional Connectivity: The vision extends beyond road networks and aims at broader economic integration and sustainable development.

Chinese Consul General Praises Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts

During the meeting, Acting Chinese Consul General Feng Diheng praised Pakistan’s diplomatic capabilities on the international stage. He stated that Pakistan had helped bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table after decades of stagnation, contributing to a significant diplomatic development and enhancing Pakistan’s international standing.

Commitment to CPEC Infrastructure Development

The Chinese Consul General reaffirmed China’s strong interest in strengthening infrastructure across Balochistan, particularly from Gwadar to Zhob. He stated that the primary objective of these initiatives is to accelerate economic activity and improve the quality of life of the people of Balochistan on a sustainable basis.

Both leaders also agreed to further expand people-to-people contacts and bilateral cooperation.
