GILGIT ): Following the completion of polling for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly General Elections, unofficial and provisional results continue to pour in from across the region. According to results received so far, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has emerged as the leading political force, securing the highest number of seats and establishing a clear advantage in the electoral race.
Voters turned out in large numbers on Sunday, with long queues observed at polling stations despite cold weather conditions. Citizens actively participated in the democratic process, casting their votes throughout the day.
Polling remained uninterrupted until 5:00 PM, after which vote counting began immediately. Election officials and polling staff continued the counting process late into the night as results from various constituencies were compiled.

According to the latest unofficial and provisional figures, complete results have so far been received from 18 of the 24 assembly constituencies. Based on these results, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has secured a significant lead, winning 9 seats and positioning itself as the frontrunner in the race to form the next government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
