Four Afghan Taliban Drones Destroyed in Balochistan, Pakistan Air Force Responds Decisively

Rawalpindi: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan's security forces intercepted and destroyed four surveillance drones allegedly launched from across the border in Balochistan before they could enter Pakistani airspace.

According to an ISPR statement issued on 1 July 2026, militants allegedly operating under the patronage of the Afghan Taliban attempted to violate Pakistan's airspace on 30 June. Pakistan's advanced air defence network detected the hostile aerial platforms immediately and successfully shot down all four drones.

The military spokesperson stated that such actions by the Afghan Taliban are an unsuccessful attempt to divert public attention from Afghanistan's internal challenges and domestic situation.

The Pakistan Army also warned the Afghan interim authorities to stop supporting terrorist elements and to respect the principles of good neighbourly relations.

"The Afghan Taliban should understand that their irresponsible actions are only adding to the hardships faced by the Afghan people. If provocations against Pakistan continue, they will receive a strong response and will bear serious consequences."
