Positive results are beginning to emerge from the government’s ongoing measures aimed at promoting economic stability and investment in the country, with a significant increase recorded in foreign direct investment (FDI) during August.

According to Finance Minister’s Adviser Khurram Shehzad, foreign direct investment in Pakistan reached $316 million in August, marking the highest monthly level recorded so far this year.

He said China, Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) played a central role in the significant increase in foreign investment.

The Finance Adviser further stated that a decline in the repatriation of profits abroad by foreign companies was also an important factor behind the improvement in FDI figures.

According to experts, the positive trend in foreign investment reflects Pakistan’s economic stabilization and growing confidence among international investors.
