First Case of Congo Fever Reported in Sindh, 17-Year-Old Under Treatment

Karachi (Health Desk) The first case of Congo Hemorrhagic Fever has been confirmed in Sindh. A 17-year-old boy showing all symptoms of the disease has been admitted to the intensive care unit and is under treatment.

According to medical sources, the affected teenager is suffering from high fever and bleeding from the body. Congo virus is generally transmitted to humans through ticks found on livestock or animals. It has been reported that the patient was involved in caring for livestock.

The Health Department has issued instructions to citizens to take special precautionary measures ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. Citizens have been advised to use gloves before handling animals in order to avoid possible diseases.
