FC Balochistan (South) Intensifies Operations Against Militants in Balochistan
Quetta — According to the statement, FC Balochistan (South) has intensified its operations against militant groups operating in southern Balochistan, claiming significant successes in recent security operations conducted in Kharan and Panjgur.
The statement says that on 24 June 2026, around 30–35 armed militants, identified as members of the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and its alleged "Qahr Force (Drone Force)," entered Killi Sarawan near Kharan. Authorities allege the group intended to establish roadblocks, carry out extortion, and seize control of the area.
According to the statement, after receiving intelligence, FC Balochistan (South) launched an operation shortly after dawn using intelligence and surveillance capabilities. During the operation, the militants allegedly entered a nearby school and opened fire from inside the premises. Security forces responded by surrounding the building and conducting a clearance operation.
The statement claims that four militants were killed and six others injured. Security personnel also reportedly recovered six motorcycles, three quadcopters, three quadcopter-mounted rockets, fourteen rockets, and two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which were later defused.
The statement further says that another operation took place on the night of 14 June in the Sabzab area of Panjgur along the N-85 Highway, where 40–50 heavily armed militants, identified in the statement as members of "Fitna al-Khawarij," allegedly attempted to attack an FC post.
According to FC Balochistan (South), the movement of the attackers had already been detected through surveillance technology, allowing security personnel to prepare in advance. The statement says that during the exchange of fire, three militants were killed and five injured, while the remaining attackers retreated, leaving behind weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials.
The statement asserts that both operations prevented planned attacks aimed at disrupting security and development in Balochistan. It further says that FC Balochistan (South) has strengthened its intelligence network with the support of local communities, making militant movement increasingly difficult.
The statement concludes by reiterating the force's commitment to continuing counterterrorism operations and maintaining security across southern Balochistan.
