Explosive Device Attack on Vehicle in Kharan, Several Injured

In Balochistan’s Kharan district, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a passenger vehicle on Lajay Road, leaving one worker seriously injured and nine others traveling in the vehicle with minor injuries.

According to security sources, attackers had planted an explosive device along the roadside to target civilians and workers. Shortly after the incident, security forces reached the site, cordoned off the area, and shifted all the injured to a nearby health facility after providing them with initial medical aid.

Sources said that after facing repeated setbacks at the hands of security forces, terrorists are increasingly targeting unarmed civilians, passenger vehicles and workers. The attack on peaceful Baloch workers, the sources said, demonstrates that terrorist elements have no connection with the development of Balochistan or the Baloch people.
