England (Sports Desk): Changes have been made to the timings of some matches in the upcoming T20 series between England and India.
According to cricket websites, the England and Wales Cricket Board has taken this decision in order to increase television viewership. Under the revised schedule, the timings of 3 matches in the five-match series have been changed.
As per the earlier schedule, matches were set to begin at 6:30 pm England time and 11:00 pm India time. However, under the new schedule, some matches will now start at 5:30 pm England time and 10:00 pm India time.
Reports suggest that the purpose of this adjustment is to attract a larger audience during live broadcasts.
It is worth noting that the Indian cricket team will tour England from July 1 to July 19, where it will play a T20 series against the host team.
